New Chair

My grandma sent Michael money for Christmas so I decided to finally get him the Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn. He loves to sneak off to his room and sit and read books, so I figured the chair would be perfect. He is enjoying it so far.

What a Difference a Year Makes!

Snow Day January 2011
Walking and running everywhere now!

Snow Day in February 2010
He wasn't even walking yet.

Time is flying by faster than I ever imagined. Michael is growing like a weed. Just this week he seems so much older to me. I know he's gotten a little taller. And while I think he has always looked a little older or not very babyish I feel like this week the baby look has real slipped away. He is growing into a little boy now. He has really started talking up a storm in sentences. Saying things like "Daddy bye-bye in the car" or "Open door please" or "More oranges here please". He really amazes me everyday. By all of the pleases you might can tell I am a stickler for manners. I 97% of the time always make him say please before and thank you after he gets what he wants or needs. He is really starting to get in the habit. If you know me it's music to my ears. LOL

His 2nd birthday is fast approaching. We have decided on the Disney Cars theme. When I tell you my child is OBSESSED with cars that's an understatement. Often times the first word out of his mouth in the morning is "cars" and wants to play with them immediately. He plays with them ALL day long! He loves the movie too and wants it on in the background all of the time. We got him a Lightening McQueen Lil Quad for his birthday and I can only imagine how much time we are going to spend outside riding that thing.

Trip to Houston September 2010

MB and Grandma

"I love cars. The more expensive the better."

"I got the ball!"

Michael just wanted to push around the golf bag.

Trying to teach MB how to swing the club. He wasn't too interested. He just wanted to push the bag.

A Variety

"Driving" Daddy's Car
He loves playing cars and will go all around the house saying "Beep, beep".

Michael eating artichoke hearts at Cheesecake Factory on my birthday.

He had a little difficulty with the big fork. LOL

Michael is climbing all over the place. He thinks he's so cool when he gets on top of the toy box.

Michael was so tuckered out from playing he actually fell asleep on the couch before dinner while watching football with Daddy.

Weekend at Aunt Jackie's

"Uncle Dale, push me, push me."

Chillin' in the kiddie chair

Michael loves playing on these tables.

"Ok, I need a little rest."

Michael was worn out from shopping and eating lunch on the square. This is a RARE sight!

This weekend we went to Aunt Jackie's while Michael rode in the Hotter than Hell in Witchita Falls. We had a great time celebrating Uncle Dale's birthday and I got to do some early birthday shopping which is always fun. I got lots of fun gadgets for the kitchen from The Panhandle on the square in Granbury.

Catching Up

So I haven't posted anything in a REALLY long time. So now I'm catching up. I have some videos to post and will get those up soon.

I was cleaning up the kitchen today when I realized things were pretty quiet. Michael moved the stool over to this chair and climbed up on it. Then he zoned out to this show on PBS about Big Bands. This child really loves music.

This is Michael's new favorite place to sit. Guess he's cooling off from all of this heat.

"See my Mommy? Smile!"
Having fun with Hannah
I babysat Hannah and Tyler the other day. Michael LOVES them! Everytime he sees Hannah he wants her to hold him and play.

Michael loves wearing these glasses I got for my 70's costume.

"Peek"-Michael loves to play peek-a-boo. He says "peek" which comes out more like "pee" lol.

Tent fun with Hannah

Aunt Jackie and Uncle Dale came down a couple of weeks ago for a visit.
Michael is real cuddly these days. He'll often stop playing just to come over and give me a hug and pat my back. I sure do love it. I try to get as many hugs and kisses as I can now before he thinks he's too old to do it anymore.
