Michael Britton is 1 Year Old!

"I just love friends!"
Michael is very social and LOVES kids. Today when I took him to the doctor he terrorized a very shy little girl because he was so happy to see her. She did not like the attention at all. I just know he's going to love going to Mother's Day Out in the fall.

"I love cake!"

Michael turned 1 on Sunday, March 21. I have included the invitation I had made to shoq how much he's grown over the past year. I can't believe how fast this last year went. I am really trying to savor each moment with him since I know it'll be over in the blink of an eye. However, the moments with Michael right now are exhausting! lol He is soooooooooooo active! When we go to Kindermusik he just likes to crawl all around the room the whole time. Today at the doctor it practically killed him not to get on the floor and crawl around. I have no idea how he has so much energy.

At Michael's 1 month check up today, he weighed 20.5 pounds and was 30.5 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for height and around the 20th percentile for weight. So he is definitely long and lean. I asked her if I should be concerned that he is not walking yet, and she laughed. She said as fast as he can crawl he has no real need to walk yet. She couldn't believe how fast he is. A lot of people make that comment to me. So it might take him a little while longer to get real interested. He is however pulling up on everything in sight and starting to take a few steps.

We had a really bad night last night because Michael finally cut his 2nd tooth. The top right one. He has 2 more teeth that are really close to cutting as well. I hope he sleeps better tonight though. He was up every 2 hours screaming. The dr said he has extremely tough gums and the top tooth might have cut before the 2nd bottom tooth because his 1st bottom tooth has worked over time to help cut the top gum. She said few children have such tough gums. Lucky us!!!

Things Michael Can Do Now (Some may be repeats.):
Wave Bye-Bye
Gives High 5's
Helps to put on his shirts
Pulls Up
Takes a few steps while holding on to something
Army Crawls and Regular Crawls-Super fast at both
Feeds Himself His Own Bottle
Starting to Use Sippy Cup
Exploring Use of a Spoon Himself
Grunting and Pointing to Indicate What He Wants
Starting to Answer Yes/No Questions with a shake of his head
Very Talkative-Says Mama and Dada

I am sure there is a ton more but that is a good start! I am looking forward to see how Michael grows and changes over this next year.
