I'm One Month Old and Oh So Cool!

"So many things to think about, so little time."

Mommy and I resting after a long day

"I am going to eat this mat if it's the last thing I do!"

I can't believe Michael is a month old already. In some ways this month has flown by. In many other ways it has dragged on forever. I can tell the little guy has grown up a lot already. He is sleeping a little less during the day and a little longer at night. He has found his hands and sticks them in his mouth now. I sure enjoy watching him looking and tracking objects with his eyes. Each day brings new little discoveries.

As for me, things are finally starting to improve. I am starting to feel better and am able to move around much better which is a huge blessing.

Michael's First Tummy Time

Today Michael had his first tummy time on his new mat. He really liked lifting his legs more I think. He is really strong but likes pushing up off of our stomachs better I think. We're going to keep at it though.

Eating is such hard work...I need a break

Michael is definitely a slow eater and acts like it takes a huge amount of work. This picture was taken at a late evening feeding. He acts like he is so put out by this eating business. I just thought it was cute and wanted to share.

Two Week Checkup

Today Michael and I both had doctor's appointments. He had his two week check up and weighed in at a much healthier 8 pounds 1 oz. His jaundice is completely gone. What a relief!!!! He also grew 2" and is now 21 1/8" long. The doctor also told us we can start letting him sleep through the night if he will. How nice it will be not to have to set an alarm in the middle of the night. We'll see how long he makes it for though.

I have my outpatient surgery on Wednesday morning and after that I won't have to go to the doctor for another two weeks!!!!!!!!!! That sure beats 4 times a week. So things are starting to look up for us which is a nice relief for me. I have been a little stressed.

Here are pics of Little MB's first real bath that we gave him this morning. He HATES to be naked! Once he had his clothes on though he was happy as a clam. I feel almost humanish again and can't believe I am finally posting something on my blog! Yeah!
