Feeding Self With Spoon

Getting it ready
Yeah he loaded it and it made it to his mouth!
"Oh yeah, this is fun!"
Little Mind at Work

Little mind thought "Forget this. Who needs a spoon?"

Michael has been doing really well with a spoon with my help so I decided he needed to start doing it all by himself. I have created a monster who no longer wants my help at all. This could be a good and bad thing at the same time. He is a very independent kid and when he knows he can do something he wants to do it. It really frustrates him too if he can't get it perfect. Michael tells me all the time that MB reminds him of me. Nah.

15 Months

I took Michael to his 15 month check up today. I have no pictures because he was everywhere and I didn't even think to get the camera out. He is so curious that I can't take my eyes off of him for a second. We were the first appointment so everyone there was a little slow in getting started. Michael didn't care. He wanted to chat everyone up and show everyone ALL OF THE LIGHTS! Since spending a week at my aunt's he has become OBSESSED with lights. Rocky could understand the word 'light' when he would say it and was very impressed. Rocky is our nurse practitioner.

So Michael also gained 1 whole pound in 2 weeks after eating all of Aunt Jackie's yummy food. He is now 22.6 pounds and almost to the 50th percentile for weight. Which is good. He is 31 inches and in between the 75-90th percentiles for height. Rocky was very impressed at all of the foods he eats which is good. She said she loves the fact that he gets so much sleep. She said she wished all parents gave their kids enough sleep. I really don't feel I have anything to do with it, he wants to sleep that much so I take full advantage. He really needs it.

Michael is on track and that's great. We go back at 18 months. I hope it goes as well.

I am not buying any more toys!

MB turned 15 months today. He is walking and going everywhere now! He is really so much fun. We went on a cruise last week and when I got home he seemed so much older. Before we left Michael started developing an obsession for putting lids on our water bottles. I was hoping he had forgotten about it while we were gone. He did not. All this child wants to do is pull out our millions of water bottles, beg us to unscrew the lid, and he just walks around putting the lid on and off. At any given time we have 10-15 bottles and lids scattered all over the house. It's so cute when he tries to carry 2 or 3 at a time. Who needs Fisher-Price? Not the Sparks'. Good thing Michael's parents have an obsession with water bottles too or he'd be out of luck.
I take him for his 15 month check up tomorrow so I'll post that info soon!
